Cleaning Gemstones

Back to the Purest Vibration

Gemstones absorb energy. They absorb emotions, moods, and tensions — not only from your energy field, but also from the space they are in. That’s why it’s important to cleanse and recharge them regularly so they can continue to radiate in their full power.

When you receive or buy a gemstone, it often still carries energy from others. Even with intensive use, such as during meditation or wearing it on the body, it is advisable to purify your stone occasionally. This gives it the chance to return to its natural, clear state of being.

At Cosmic Health, all gemstones are lovingly cleansed before being packed in the shipping box.
This way, you receive a stone that is energetically clean, charged, and ready to work with you.

Ways to cleanse gemstones

  • Water: Gently rinse the stone under cold running water. This is a simple way to release energetic charge.
Please note: Not all gemstones should be cleansed with water! Some are porous, brittle, or contain metals that can dissolve or rust.
    Avoid water with, among others:
    • Selenite
    • Malachite
    • Pyrite
    • Calcite
    • Celestite
    • Lepidolite
    • Azurite
    • Halite
    • Turquoise
    • Angelit
  • Smoke: Briefly pass the stone through the smoke of white sage, palo santo, or incense — powerful and purifying.
  • Moonlight: Place the stone overnight in moonlight (preferably during a full moon) to charge it with soft, feminine energy.
  • Earth: Temporarily bury the stone in the earth to return to its source and allow deep energetic cleansing.
  • Sound: Purify using a singing bowl or crystal sound frequency — vibrations cleanse on an energetic and cellular level.
  • Other stones: For example, use a selenite plate or an amethyst cluster to gently and safely cleanse and recharge other gemstones.

Cleansing is not just an act — it is a sacred moment of connection. A reminder to work with the earth's energy with attention, gratitude, and intention. By regularly cleansing your gemstone, you not only honor the stone but also your own process of growth, healing, and awareness.
